James Carville, the liberal political consultant who helped elect Bill Clinton president in 1992, is a fierce defender of all things Clinton. In his attempt to defend Hillary Clinton from the FBI reopening their investigation into her secret, unsecured email server, Carville blamed everyone but the candidate herself, including House Republicans and the KGB.

Speaking on MSNBC, Carville accused FBI Director James Comey of “acting in concert and coordination with House Republicans. End of story.”

Carville then became further irritated when host Thomas Roberts asked him to focus on the FBI and not the Wikileaks emails, which the famed consultant blamed on “the KGB.”

“Why are you defending this?” he asked. “Why are sitting here when our democracy is under assault? When they FBI is acting at the behest of Jason Chaffetz? And sitting here acting like this is something legit? It’s not. It’s an effort to affect this election, and Democrats and people across this country have to know this.”

At the conclusion of the interview, Carville said, “I can’t think about the election right now, what I can think about, what I can talk about, is how unprecedented this is. And how the House Republicans and the KGB are trying the affect our democracy. And I think that’s a very important issue. I think it’s probably the most important issue anybody’s faced in a presidential campaign in a long, long time.”
