Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte from New Hampshire launched a new ad Tuesday called “Trick-or-Treating For Talking Points” that pokes fun at Democratic challenger and Governor Maggie Hassan.
“Maggie Hassan, better known as Hillary’s Parrot, went trick-or-treating for talking points,” the ad says over a video of someone in a parrot costume. “She didn’t find them talking to voters, she hasn’t talked to any.”
“She found her talking points exactly where she left them, with Hillary and Washington Democrats,” the ad concluded. “Costume or not, Maggie Hassan is Hillary Clinton’s parrot.”
Ayotte holds a 1.8 percent lead in the New Hampshire Real Clear politics polling average, earning 47.2 percent compared to Hassan’s 45.4 percent. The latest poll was published Tuesday from the University of New Hampshire, and shows Hassan with a 2 percent lead over Ayotte.
