Environmental groups are already pledging to fight President-elect Donald Trump on absolutely everything before he’s even assumed office.

“President-elect Donald Trump threatens our environment and we vow to fight him every step of the way,” Kate Colwell, a spokeswoman for Friends of The Earth, said in a press statement.

“He spoke using fear, suspicion, racism and hate to people who felt the government had left them behind…[W]e reject the politics of fear utilized by Trump while recognizing that we must address the fundamental issues of equality, race and class that divide this country,” she said.

Friends of the Earth endorsed Clinton’s opponent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary race. The group accused Clinton of “soft climate denial” in April, and they’ve said her positions on global warming are “disgraceful” because they don’t go far enough.

“The next four years will not be easy, but we have fought hostile administrations before,” Colwell said. “Under President George W. Bush, the environmental community took the battle to the courts and Congress and watchdogged political appointees; we blocked attacks on the environment; we galvanized the public to take action.”

Environmentalists vehemently opposed Trump in the general election, with major groups like the League of Conservation Voters and The Sierra Club both endorsing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
