Donald Trump said he wouldn’t tweet as much if the press covered him fairly.

After “Saturday Night Live ” mocked the president-elect’s tendency to retweet random followers after they praised him, he blamed his habits on the media.

“If the press would cover me accurately & honorably, I would have far less reason to ‘tweet,'” Trump wrote Monday. “Sadly, I don’t know if that will ever happen!” (RELATED: After Saturday Night Live Mocked His Twitter Habits, Donald Trump Is Firing Back)

During an interview with Jake Tapper Sunday, Kellyanne Conway — one of Trump’s top aides — said the transition team hasn’t determined if Trump will maintain control of his account when he takes office in January.

“That’s going to be up to him, the Secret Service and others who have to help decide those issues,” Conway told Jake Tapper. “I will tell you, people look at his social media accounts … as a very good platform of which to convey his message.”

“He’s a unique person that’s been following his instincts and judgments from the beginning.”
