Connecticut’s Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy told MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough that Linda McMahon is “unquestionably qualified” to be Donald Trump’s Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
“She’s unquestionably qualified,” Murphy — who ran against McMahon for his Senate seat back in 2012 — said of the WWE co-founder. “She turned a small business into a big multi-national business, which is what a lot of small businesses want to become.”
“She’s also a Connecticut Republican, not an Oklahoma Republican, so she’s bringing some, I think, important moderate values to the administration,” he continued.
“I think of all the potential picks for the head of the SBA, Linda McMahon would be at the top of my list, and I will be supporting her when she comes before the Senate.”
Trump formally announced McMahon’s nomination on Wednesday afternoon.
