Michael Moore is already putting the fault of the next terrorist attack at the feet of President-elect Donald Trump.

The 62-year-old filmmaker compared Trump to President George W. Bush before the terror attacks on 9/11 Thursday and accused the president-elect of not attending all of his daily intelligence briefings in an appearance on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Myers.” (RELATED: Michael Moore Calls On Americans To ‘Disrupt’ Trump’s Inauguration)

“If you go back to August 2001, there’s the famous photo of George W. Bush on vacation in Crawford, Texas, being handed a document — there’s a photograph of this — and it says, ‘Bin Laden to Attack U.S.‘ and in the document it says, ‘’may use planes,'” Moore said. “That’s on Aug. 6, 2001, a month before the attack. And he went fishing that day. He didn’t pay attention, he didn’t read it. He just wasn’t engaged.”

“You kind of wish you had his version of non-engagement because this president-elect doesn’t seem engaged at all,” he added. “He’s more engaged with tweeting about Alec Baldwin on SNL. It’s like, you’ve got time for that, and you haven’t taken one of the national security briefings, you’ve taken only three of them in this first month.” (RELATED: Michael Moore Says Trump ‘Won’ The Debate)

Moore then turned towards the camera and pleaded with Trump to “do his job” for the “sake of the people who may end up dead” if he doesn’t.

“Seriously, with all due respect, Mr. President-elect,” Moore said. “On our behalf, you have to pay attention. You have to attend these briefings. This is our country. This is our security. This is our safety.”

“You’re horsing around with all this nonsense, and you’re not doing your No. 1 job,” he added. “And the No. 1 job of the president is to make sure the country is safe. I beg you, seriously–there’s no right or left, Republican or Democrat going on here. I’m asking you to do your job for the sake of the people who may end up dead because you didn’t do your job.”

“We had this happen once before,” he continued. “We had this unengaged president who wasn’t reading his briefs; you don’t even attend the briefs. So I’m begging you to do that. I’m begging you to get up in the morning, send out your tweets to whoever. Criticize him but not me. And then, god, please, attend the briefing. Attend the briefing.”

However, another report on Sunday contradicts Moore’s claim.

Reince Priebus has said Trump receives intelligence briefings “about every day.”
