“The View” host was talking about the right to display Nativity scenes on Tuesday when she brought up abortion out of nowhere.

“You cannot pretend that Christmas doesn’t start with the birth of Christ!” Goldberg said. “Listen, I’m not, wait, wait, wait, don’t do it, don’t do it because I don’t want to disappoint you. I don’t want to disappoint you. I’m not a religious person, OK? I’m not a religious person but I do know that Christmas starts with the word Christ! It’s about the birth of Christ.”

“So you can’t, you can’t erase that! And if you don’t believe in it, if you don’t believe in it, then you got Santa Claus. Santa Claus is not a religious thing.”

Then Joy Behar cut in.

“Let me just say one thing here because I’m a very big Christmas fan,” Behar said. “I love Christmas so much. And I still say separation of Church and State must be adhered to. In a public school…”

Jedediah Bila told Behar she had it all wrong.

“That’s not what that means though,” Bila said. “Separation of Church and State means preventing the establishment of a national religion, not preventing people from expressing their beliefs.”

Goldberg then compared it to getting an abortion.

“But it’s the same conversation with a woman’s right to choose,” Goldberg said. “What I do with my body is my right. It is not your right to tell me. The same thing is it’s — if you believe in Christmas, it’s not my right.”

Viewers were furious with her remark.
