The U.K. government-run BBC produced a “Real Housewives of ISIS” parody Jan. 3 that caused significant controversy on social media.
WATCH:
The parody skit features burqa-clad women taking selfies in suicide vests, trading clever jihadi-inspired Instagram captions, and scrubbing down a bombed-out house in Syria. The skit is part of a BBC2 sketch comedy series known as “Revolting,” which “satirises the state of our nation.”
