GOP Pennsylvania Rep. Charlie Dent largely agreed Monday with President-elect Donald Trump’s views on repealing and replacing Obamacare.

Trump called for the GOP replacement plan to provide “insurance for everybody,” and drive prescription prices down according to a Sunday article from The Washington Post. Dent, the chairman of the centrist Tuesday Group, said he believes Trump was referring to constructing a plan that makes plans affordable for all.

“I think he means that every American should have access to health insurance. I hope that’s what he means and I think that his instincts on this issue are generally good where he wants to see as close to simultaneous repeal and replacement, so I think his instincts are generally good, but I think he’s really talking about access to affordable health insurance,” he said during an appearance on CNN’s “New Day.”

Congress passed the procedural measure needed to move forward with repealing and replacing the president’s landmark health-care legislation. Dent, who was one of nine Republicans who voted against the measure, said he thinks Republicans need a more structured replacement plan.

“What’s going to happen with this health-care law is this: parts of it need to be repealed, parts of it need to be replaced, parts of it need to be overhauled and reformed and parts of it will be maintained,” he continued. “And I think we all need to get our rhetoric right on this, and it’s important for the House, the Senate and the incoming administration to fully develop and better articulate exactly what it is what we’re trying to do, which is why I voted against the budget resolution the other day.”

Dent noted repealing is the easy part for congressional Republicans, adding they need to ensure those receiving their coverage don’t see a lapse in coverage during the transition period.
