The FBI finally caught a double homicide suspect from its Ten Most Wanted List Sunday morning.
Officials arrested Terry A.D. Strickland during a traffic stop in El Paso, Texas after a six-month pursuit, reports CNN.
“I am proud of the continuous hard work of our agents and law enforcement partners in quickly apprehending this dangerous and violent fugitive,” El Paso FBI Special Agent in Charge Doug Lindquist said.
Lindquist said officials tracked Strickland down after receiving a tip from the public call line.
“We got a tip from our public call line, our public access line stating that ‘hey, I think I recognize this person.’ A total of 18 law enforcement personnel from FBI and El Paso PD were involved in this overnight surveillance and arrest operation,” Lindquist said.
Officials had offered a $100,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest.
Strickland has been charged with two counts of first degree intentional homicide stemming from a July incident in Milwaukee. Strickland opened fire on a group of seven to eight men fighting July 17, according to investigators.
His shooting left two men, Maurice Brown Jr. and Michael Reed, dead from gunshot wounds.
Strickland is the 512th person to be added to the Most Wanted List and the 480th person from the list to be apprehended.
