WASHINGTON–The Obama staff left the White House in better shape for the incoming Republican administration than the last Democratic White House staff did in 2001.

When asked by The Daily Caller what condition the White House appeared to be in when she arrived, Donald Trump senior advisor Kellyanne Conway told TheDC in a statement, “West Wing appears to be in fine shape. I have Valerie Jarrett’s old office–freshly painted, carpet redone, new technology installed. She was here for 8 years and kept it in beautiful condition.”

Conway’s office is part of the upstairs area of West Wing power player offices occupied by President Trump and his senior advisors. Political strategist Karl Rove also previously occupied her office during the George W. Bush administration.

According to Politico, downstairs from Conway, the short corridor down the hall from the Oval office contains work areas of other key Trump advisers.

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus is in the corner suite space at the end of the hallway that is usually reserved for his job post. Next to the Oval office is Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and now official an adviser and next door to Kushner is Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon. Finally, around the corner from the corridor is the office of Vice President Mike Pence.
