President Donald Trump’s selection to run the Department of Health and Human Services, Georgia Rep. Tom Price, was grilled for the second time by the Senate Committee on Finance Tuesday.

Democrats inquired into his plan to replace the Affordable Care Act and how he is working with the president.

The top Democrat on the panel, Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, accused Prince of being “the architect of repeal and ruin,” before inquiring whether his plan would cover as many Americans as the ACA.

“What I commit to, senator, is working with you and every single member of Congress to make certain we have the highest quality health care and that every single American has access to affordable coverage,” Price, who was a practicing physician before running for Congress, said in response.

When Wyden pressed harder, asking if he committed “that no one will be worse off under the executive order,” Price assured there would be access to care.

“I guarantee you that the individuals that lost coverage under the Affordable Care Act, we will commit to making certain that they don’t lose coverage under whatever replacement plan comes forward,” he said. “That’s the commitment that I provide.”

Republican praised his answers, saying he has the qualifications to successfully lead the efforts to replace Obamacare.

“I have never had a witness for any position in government who has performed as well as you have.” Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch said at the hearing.
