Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested by the New York Police Department late on Wednesday night at his own art exhibit.

A video from 30-year-old LaBeouf’s own livestream shows him being cuffed by the cops outside the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, New York. The livestream is part of LaBeouf’s “He Will Not Divide Us” art project, which is meant as a protest of President Donald Trump.

NYPD Detective Pisano told The Daily Caller News Foundation that LaBeouf got into an altercation with someone at the livestream event and grabbed his scarf, possibly scratching him in the process. The detective said the altercation was “not too serious” and added the victim sustained only a very minor injury and did not require hospitalization.

“There will most likely be some form of assault charge, but [LaBeouf] has not been charged with anything yet,” Pisano said.

WATCH:

The livestream started broadcasting at 9 a.m. on Jan. 20, with the goal of bringing together the public in an act of resistance against Trump, according to the website He Will Not Divide Us. Project-goers are invited to repeat the words, “He will not divide us” over and over again into a stationary camera mounted on a wall to signal their resistance.

For some on the internet, the livestream was the perfect invitation for trolling, with one individual inviting LaBeouf into a camera shot, only for that individual to then say, “Hitler did nothing wrong.” LaBeouf shoved him in response.

In another video, a troll “REEEs” like a frog in reference to Pepe, a meme now adopted and often used by Trump supporters and also by white nationalists, until one of LaBeouf’s supporters completely flips out.

“How we gonna make this shit okay being Nazi out here?” LaBeouf said in reference to the trolling, just before he was arrested. “That’s bullshit, bro. It’s not okay. He will not divide us.”

The livestream is active 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will continue to be active for the entire span of the Trump administration, whether it ends up lasting for four or eight years.

LaBeouf has been arrested numerous times in embarrassing public meltdowns.
