LeBron James took a shot at Donald Trump and the people who voted for him while speaking to reporters on Friday morning.

The reigning NBA MVP, speaking to reporters following the Cavaliers’ Friday morning shoot-around, likened the recent all-star game voting debacle, which saw more than 300 players receive votes, to the 2016 election.

“This was the first year that players had some say in the starting lineup,” a reporter posed to King James. “How did you approach that process?”
“I voted for who I thought deserved it,” the Akron native responded. “It was that simple.”
James added that he doesn’t know if the league’s new voting rules operated as intended because he didn’t know how all of the players voted.
“There’s always goofy votes,” he explained. “Donald Trump is our president.”
