NASA programmed a robot to referee the Super Bowl Sunday.

The New England Patriots are facing the Atlanta Falcons at 6:30 p.m. EST in Houston, Texas.

The robot is capable of making 10 football calls, including face-mask penalties, first-downs and incomplete passes. Most impressively, the robot can make a Heisman pose on command.

NASA is famous for using big events like the Super Bowl to showcase new technology.

For example, the agency recently used a new rocket design to deliver Christmas presents to astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS).

NASA demonstrated how it prepared food for astronauts to celebrate Thanksgiving.
