Bidding for a Cheeto shaped like Harambe, the gorilla shot and killed last year at a Cincinnati zoo, reached almost $100,000 on eBay Monday afternoon.
EBay user valuestampsinc posted a Flamin’ Hot Cheeto for sale that they thought looked like a mini version of Harambe, that is to say, covered in powdery cheese. Bidding for the Harambe Cheeto began at just $11.99 on Jan. 28, 2017. A bidding war quickly started, but ended Tuesday morning with a winning bid of $99,900.

Haramabe became an internet sensation last summer after he was shot by handlers for dragging around a small child that leaped into his enclosure. Memes and gifs of Harambe flooded social media outlets last summer, and the gorilla even got his own subreddit called: HarambeFanclub.
