I must admit, when I see the word “bamboo,” the first thing that comes to mind isn’t a product made in America. Do we even have bamboo in America? But this “ultra-luxury bamboo shredded memory foam” pillow has really good reviews on Amazon. (It’s earned thousands of 5-star reviews in addition to being the #1 bestselling neck pillow). And it is 60 percent off. So, I figured I’d take a closer look.

Two of the first three bullet points in this pillow’s product description explains that it is Made in the U.S. Again, seeing the word bamboo, I was a little skeptical. But seeing that it is an American product instantly made me more likely to buy it. Always need to support the American worker, you know?
My concerns were relieved when the seller of the Snuggle-Pedic answered this question: “Are any components of this pillow imported from China? Made in USA does not exclude this possibility.” Here’s what they said:
It is true that when a company says “Made in the U.S.A.”, it does not mean that every component is made in the U.S.A. and in fact, it may mean that only the final assembly is done in the U.S. However, we are one of the few mattress companies that has had our entire supply chain audited and certified as all U.S. made. This pillow is one such example, as all the foam is made in the U.S. and even the Kool-Flow Bamboo fabric material is knitted in the U.S. and then hand sewn into a cover right here in California. The foam itself comes from the excess material found in our high-end mattresses that have been made into small pieces from our ventilator and shredding machine. Lastly, we support local jobs by hiring 100 percent of our staff right here in Southern California.
As they say on Family Feud, “Good answer, good answer.” I’m impressed with Snuggle-Pedic. This pillow is part of the new trend of pillows (made famous by the My Pillow guy who always advertises on Fox News). The new kind conforms to your head and neck for orthopedic support and provides guaranteed comfort for each individual. In these, the fluffy, yet resilient mixed combination of foam used in our Snuggle-Pedic pillows will adjust to each position you sleep in.” And it’s not going to lose its shape over time like traditional pillows. This one might be worth a shot, especially since it doesn’t cost $150 right now.
