A comment from UC Berkeley to The Daily Caller seems to indicate that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating the riots outside of Milo Yiannopolous’ scheduled talk last week.

TheDC reached out to a UC Berkeley spokesperson regarding revelations that one of their employees, Ian Dabney Miller, was involved in violent demonstrations outside Milo’s talk. (RELATED: UC Berkeley Rioter Identified As University Staff Member)

Berkeley responded via email, saying, “We are aware of the allegations involving a member of the University’s workforce. Our campus police force is currently working with the FBI in an ongoing investigation of this matter.”

Local news station ABC7 is also reporting that the FBI is involved in an investigation of the black bloc anarchists that shut down Milo and violently assaulted attendees, including beating one man unconscious.

Attendees were also beat with flagpoles:

A spokesperson for the FBI told TheDC that the bureau does not comment on ongoing investigations, so it cannot confirm or deny, saying that the FBI would only make such details public if an arrest is made or criminal complaint filed.
