A new study came out this week saying that 44 percent of women don’t expect a present or romantic gesture from their significant other on Valentine’s Day. The reactions to this report have ranged from skepticism to utter disbelief. Then again, maybe this explains why every single Valentine’s Day gift I’ve gotten a girlfriend over the years has gone over horribly. (I admit it’s more likely that I’ve simply dated extremely high maintenance girls).

Okay, back to the point of this article after that aside on my personal life. Understanding that Valentine’s Day is just a couple days away, Amazon is holding a one-day-only deal on “Valentine’s Day jewelry.” Specifically, the deal includes 148 items and offers up to 35 percent off. It is broken down into four categories – “colors of love,” “classic gifts,” “hearts” and “words of love.” The “classic gifts” section really isn’t “Valentine’s Day jewelry,” per se. It’s just regular jewelry that you have the option of getting your lady on V-Day.

I can’t offer any further advice on what which of these 148 items would be the best gift. Maybe a heart?
