A 29-year-old woman fell to her death early Saturday morning trying to reach for her twin sister’s hat.

The Kearny, N.J., resident, who has yet to be identified, was using the escalator at the World Trade Center’s Oculus transit hub and fell over the side while attempting to grab the cap.

The drop was roughly 30 feet, according to New York Daily News.

She was transported to Bellevue Hospital, according to The Daily Mail, but was ultimately pronounced dead. (RELATED: Mother Dies Of Heart Problems While Live Streaming On Facebook)

The investigation is still in progress.

The Oculus, which is the epicenter of the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, cost around $3.9 billion and was completed in March of last year after many years of construction.

A 23-year-old man died after falling 10 stories (roughly estimated to be at least 100 feet) in Washington D.C. on New Year’s. The man apparently tumbled down a boiler shaft starting from the roof of a hotel to the basement.
