Democratic protesters interrupted a debate for chair of the Democratic National Committee because former Secretary of Labor Tom Perez wasn’t doing enough to combat President Donald Trump, according to a Wednesday report from The Hill.

Protesters crashed the forum at the Women’s National Democratic Club with a large banner that read “Dems: #Resist Trump or be replaced.”

“Will you commit to supporting primary challengers to fight against Democrats who refuse to resist Donald Trump’s agenda?” Protester Natalie Green demanded of Perez.

Although other candidates for the position were present at the forum, the protesters singled out Perez, ignoring Rep. Keith Ellison, who was backed by progressive Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Bernie Sanders of Vermont last month.

Perez responded to the demands by asserting that all Democrats needed to “lock arms” and “come together” in Trump’s America.

“Part of the reason I love the Democratic Party, folks, is that it’s a big tent,” he said. “When we have spirited debates, you know what it reminds me of? Thanksgiving with my family.”
