Two Houston police officers were shot down Tuesday afternoon, with one of them sustaining serious injuries.
Both officers were taken to the Ben Taub Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital – Texas Medical Center, according to the Houston Police Department.
The officers were shot as they responded to a call about a potential burglary, sources claimed. Officer Jose Munoz, a ten year veteran on the force, is in stable condition. The second officer currently has a bullet lodged near his spine; he is in critical condition.
One suspect was shot during the exchange, but another one is still on the loose. Houston authorities told people to hide in the meantime.
