Ann Coulter expressed her outrage at Democrats’ reaction to President Trump’s address to Congress when she joined Sean Hannity on Fox News Wednesday night.

Coulter, a longtime immigration hawk and a leading voice bringing to light crimes committed by illegal immigrants, was unsurprised when congressional Democrats audibly hissed and gasped at the president’s announcement of his Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement initiative.

“It is the Democrats’ natural reaction to hearing about the American victims of illegal immigrant crime. They didn’t have time to think. They just think, ‘Oh screw those Americans, they probably deserved it,'” the conservative author told Hannity.

“It was an astonishing, revealing moment right there, and I don’t think they’re showing that on the other networks,” she continued. “They want to pretend it didn’t happen.”

For her own part, Coulter considered Trump’s speech “fabulous” and “beautiful.” “Every line was a home run…No one else could give this speech,” she said.

As for media speculation, before and after the president’s address, that the administration might be “softening” its immigration stance, Coulter emphatically pushed back. “One little tip for the media: stop asking him if he’s softening on immigration. All these rumors keep coming from reporters. It’s the damnedest thing, because he’s been very clear,” she said perplexed.

Certain congressional Republicans, who themselves may be reluctant to fall in line behind the administration on immigration, also did not escape Coulter’s ire. “As I wrote last week, stop imitating Reagan and start imitating Donald Trump right now,” she told them.
