Matt Schlapp entered into a heated exchange with Stephanie Ruhle Friday over contacts Donald Trump’s team might have had with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign.

The American Conservative Union chair first asked the MSNBC host what she was worried might have been discussed in Sessions’ meetings.

“I want to understand more,” Ruhle answered. “Mike Flynn had to resign over this?”

“No, he had to resign over the fact that he wasn’t forthcoming with the Vice President that he might have discussed sanctions,” Schlapp testily responded. “I want to know what are you concerned when an ambassador talks to a senator? You want to know the context?”

The arguing continued for a few more minutes before the conversation turned toward Kanye West, resulting in laughter from both parties.
