Nancy Pelosi told Politico’s Jake Sherman and Anna Palmer Friday morning that she had never met with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador currently doubling as a thorn in the side of the Trump administration.
She lied.
As revealed by Politico on Friday afternoon, Pelosi had in fact met with Kislyak back in June 2010, and luckily, the meeting was documented by Alamy.
When asked to comment on her statement, Pelosi’s office said she meant that she had never met with the ambassador one-on-one.
“Of course, that’s what she meant,” the House Minority Leader’s spokesman Drew Hammill told Politico. “She has never had a private one-on-one with him.”
POTUS — and the author — didn’t buy Hammill’s spin.
I hereby demand a second investigation, after Schumer, of Pelosi for her close ties to Russia, and lying about it. https://t.co/qCDljfF3wN
