Former Yankees shortstop Alex Rodriguez, popularly known as A-Rod, appeared on Friday’s episode of “The View” as a co-host for the entire program, replacing Whoopi Goldberg for the day.

Although the show usually starts with political topics, Joy Behar waited over 10 minutes to bring up President Trump. When the discussion came around to Trump’s decision not to throw out the first pitch at a Washington Nationals game, A-Rod voiced his disappointment in Trump’s decision.

“I did want to see, from a scouting report, who had a better throwing arm: Trump or Obama.”

Rodriguez noted that George W. Bush throwing the opening pitch at Yankee game shortly after 9/11 was a truly inspiring moment for him personally.

Joy Behar attributed President Trump’s decision to him being thin-skinned.
