Team Ryan — the Speaker’s federal Joint Fundraising Committee — has funneled $16.4 million to the NRCC so far in 2017, and the March total is the largest sum ever provided by a Speaker of the House in a single month.

“A year and a half ago, Paul Ryan became speaker with virtually no political infrastructure,” Team Ryan executive director Kevin Seifert wrote in the statement. “Since then, he has established a national political operation that can be put up against anyone else.

“Team Ryan was built around the Speaker’s focus on policy and his ability to articulate a positive, conservative vision for America,” he continued. “This remains the focus and in the early part of 2017, Ryan has been humbled by the interest in the Republican agenda – to enact bold reforms and get our country back-on-track.”

“This continues to be a motivating force for our supporters across the country.”

Since it’s formation in 2015 — when Ryan succeeded former Ohio Congressman John Boehner as Speaker of the House — Team Ryan has provided the NRCC with nearly $60 million.
