CNN panelist Phil Mudd went off on Ivanka Trump Tuesday night, declaring that she can’t defend President Trump when he has “dead white dudes” in his cabinet.
Ivanka Trump was jeered in Germany earlier in the day when she defended her father’s attitude toward women, and Mudd didn’t hold back his criticism when asked about the situation by Wolf Blitzer on CNN’s “The Situation Room.”
“She’s gotta come up with a better answer,” Mudd said. “The answer can’t be he champions women’s rights when he makes fun of a woman’s face, and makes fun of her menstrual cycle, and he’s got a bunch of dead white dudes in the cabinet.”
Mudd did give Ms. Trump some credit, explaining that as the president’s daughter, “blood’s thicker than politics.”
“What do you expect the daughter to do? Throw the president under the bus when she works in the White House? We gotta give her a break.”
