Former congressman Joe Walsh exploded on MSNBC during a debate on healthcare, telling host Ali Velshi, “I don’t want to pay 60, 70, 80 percent tax rate.”

Velshi prompted the blow up by showing Walsh that other countries have higher life expectancy rates than the United States.

“If everybody does it better than we do for less money, live longer, why can’t we?” Velshi asked.

“They don’t, Ali,” Walsh responded.

“You can’t compare those countries to ours because they do not have our large, inner-city, diverse populations,” Walsh declared. “They don’t. You can’t compare Sweden and Norway and Great Britain to us.”

“Again, they pay for it. You’re not gonna do that in America,” he continued. “I don’t wanna pay 60, 70, 80 percent tax rate for a quality of care–and by the way, Ali, the quality of care in those countries is not the quality of care in this country.”
