CNN pundit Paul Begala had an angry outburst Wednesday night during a panel discussion on James Comey, shouting that the FBI director should “shut the hell up and do his job.”
Paul Begala, a political consultant and former advisor to Bill Clinton, made the comment during the broadcast of CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” capping comments made by fellow guest David Gregory.
“He should have never said that no reasonable person would have prosecuted [Hillary Clinton],” Gregory said of Comey. “He shouldn’t have leaned forward and pleased you, and he shouldn’t have trashed her either.”
Begala furiously added, “he should have shut the hell up and do his job.”
Anderson Cooper seemed slightly off-kilter by the comment, cutting to commercial break with the slightest hint of a smirk on his face.
