An illegal immigrant allegedly sexual assaulted a young girl in Pennsylvania for nearly a decade starting when she was just six. He was arrested and charged with over 350 counts of sexual abuse this week.
Folian Martinez, 29, is now at the Beaver County Jail until his first appearance on May 16, according to Patrolman Zadock Dismuke, the arresting officer.
“The girl, 15, now, apparently had enough guts to tell her mother about it,” Dismuke told The Daily Caller. The mother came to the Ambridge Police Department two days ago.
When Dismuke called the Immigration Customs Enforcement agency, he found that Martinez was here illegally. Martinez also made that admission, according to Dismuke.
Martinez, who was the mother’s boyfriend, allegedly began abusing the girl when she was just six years old.
He is charged with 352 counts of sexual assault — including 32 counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child under the age of 16, 144 counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child under the age of 13, 144 counts of involuntary deviant sexual intercourse of child under the age of 13 and 32 counts of involuntary deviant sexual intercourse of a child under the age of 13.
“It’s a shame this girl has lived the last nine years of her life under these circumstances,” said Dismuke. “I’m glad she came forward to report it, and she can live the rest of her childhood not in fear of being abused anymore.”
CBS Pittsburgh reported on the arrest of Martinez on Monday night in a short story. In the last paragraph, the local news said, “additionally, he is an illegal immigrant and may be deported.”
