Washington Post writer Jennifer Rubin took issue with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio sharing Bible verses on Twitter.

Rubio, who often speaks about the role his faith plays in his life, shared a pair of verses Tuesday morning, one from Proverbs and one from the Gospel of John.

Leah Mcelrath, a writer with left-wing activist organization ShareBlue, shared screenshots of the tweets, which she called “unsettling.” (It’s unclear why she thought the Bible verses were unsettling.)

Rubin, a Never Trump Republican, agreed with Mcelrath’s sentiment, saying that Rubio either “was hacked or he’s totally lost it” — the implication being that only a crazy person would share Bible verses with their Twitter followers.
