‘The Rock’ On Running In 2020: ‘Don’t Know If I Would Make A Good President’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said he was flattered by all the attention from people wanting him to run for president in 2020, but feels he might not be the right pick.

“It has really been the most flattering thing,” the 45-year-old actor said during an interview that aired on “Good Morning America” Thursday. “I don’t know if I would make a good president.” (RELATED: Oprah Doesn’t Rule Out A Presidential Run)

The actor — who supported President Donald Trump in 2016 — noted that he thinks the reason people are hoping he will run is because they are looking for “better leadership.” (RELATED: Latest Polling Shows ‘The Rock’ Leads Trump In 2020 Matchup)

“I know that I have a certain skill set and I think it’s in that skill set that people see and that people would want me to run,” he added. “And I also think that’s reflective of them wanting to see a better leadership happening right now.”

Earlier this week, a Public Policy Polling survey. showed more people picked the former wrestler over the sitting president, 42 percent to 37 percent.
