Even the hosts of “The View” were disgusted Wednesday after seeing the photo of Kathy Griffin holding a bloody severed head of President Donald Trump.

“Like him [Trump] or not you can’t do this stuff with a sitting president and you shouldn’t,” Jedediah Bila explained. (RELATED: Fight Breaks Out On ‘The View’ Over Why Hillary Lost)

“He’s not just a president, he’s a human,” Sarah Haines interjected. “I think the point is that’s an image that doesn’t make anyone sit comfortably. And the fact that it’s a reference to beheading considering the times that we have been in and what that symbolizes in our country and how we’ve dealt with that blow. That image specifically gives people visceral reaction.”

“It was crazy,” Sunny Hostin said. “I’m so offended by it. It’s so vile and foul.”

“It’s not funny,” Whoopi Goldberg explained. “As comics we sometimes go across the line and she just she made a mistake. You don’t want to bring up beheading. And we just had all this violence happen in the last couple of days.”

“Well it’s two things, we can discuss and argue whether the joke is funny, but I don’t see a joke,” Joy Behar said. “Kathy [Griffin] even admitted it’s not funny.”

“She thought she had the audience for it,” Goldberg said. “And what she discovered is it’s not there. No one wants to see this. You can be as mad at him [Trump] as you want to. You can say stuff about him. Nobody wants to see this, it’s not funny. She’s going to now deal with the consequences.”

“This is not a left or right issue,” she added. “This is an issue of what is viable for us as a nation and what is not.”
