Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played Cosby’s youngest daughter Rudy on the hit show, escorted him into the packed Philadelphia courtroom on Monday. Although Pulliam said that she doesn’t take the charges against Cosby lightly, she still supports him and as far as she’s concerned he’s still innocent, Fox News reports.

“I came to support because this is where you hear the facts, this is where the truth happens,” she told reporters outside of the courtroom. “Ultimately, it’s easy to support someone…when things are great…but true family, friendship, integrity is how do people show up and support when things aren’t looking so great when they aren’t shiny.”

Cosby’s wife Camille was not present during the opening day of his trial, but Pulliam decided to attend saying it’s “the way I would want to be treated” if she was the one heading into trial.

“You’re innocent until you’re proven guilty and the job now is for the two sides to prove their cases and I accept whatever verdict is handed down.”

Cosby is charged with three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault resulting from allegations that he drugged and raped dozens of women years ago. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
