Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair was arrested in Brooklyn early Sunday morning with a handful of loaded guns and a lot of marijuana.
Telfair was a highly-touted recruit coming out of high school who committed to play for Louisville before backing out to enter the 2004 NBA draft. He was selected 13th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers but would go on to play with multiple teams during his nine years in the NBA before he eventually fizzling out and taking his talents overseas.
The 32-year-old Telfair and his 18-year-old nephew, Jami Thomas, were parked illegally in a Ford F-150 on a median in Brooklyn when police confronted the two men, reported NBC New York.
During a search of the car, officers found three loaded firearms, a semi-automatic rifle, ammunition and a bullet-resistant vest. Police also found two bags of marijuana and a lit marijuana cigarette.

The former NBA player and his nephew were arraigned Sunday night.
The Brooklyn native and a friend were arrested for a firearm charge back in 2007. Telfair, who was still in the league at the time, pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon and was sentenced to three years of probation for the charge. He also served a three-game suspension in the NBA.
