Black leaders reacted with rage against the justice system after a police officer was found not guilty in the fatal shooting of a black driver Friday afternoon.
“My God I am angry. They wonder why we rebel and riot and resist and tear shit up. They say ‘be calm’ and ‘wait for justice.’ We get this,” Shaun King, the senior justice writer for the New York Daily News, tweeted.
A jury of 12 cleared Officer Jeronimo Yanez of all charges associated with his July shooting of Castile Philando.
