Kim Kardashian said she hasn’t spoken to Caitlyn Jenner in the “last couple months” following the release of Jenner’s tell-all memoir.
During her appearance on “The View” Tuesday, the 36-year-old reality television star was asked about her relationship with her step-father after she came out and publicly criticized the book over statements the Olympic gold medalist made about her mom Kris Jenner. “I definitely got upset about it,” Kardashian responded. “You know in our family we definitely are always so close and stick through everything. So, everything is definitely going to be fine.” (RELATED: Kim Kardashian Accused Of Wearing Blackface In New Makeup Ad)
“I was a little shocked by putting things out there that just weren’t true or didn’t make sense or were hurtful, when I feel like, at the end of the day, my mom and Caitlyn had a 25-year relationship, and you just have to have some respect for it,” she added.
“I think maybe their stories are different,” she continued, when asked if she thought Jenner did it to just “sell books.” “Maybe their accounts are different. But when all of us were there and seeing things different it was just a bit surprising to me.”
“She’ll always be a part of me,” Kardashian explained when asked if she will still have a relationship after this with Jenner. “Have I talked to her in the last couple months? No, but we’re not that kind of family. We’re just taking a breather. We’ll get it together. We have siblings. It’ll work out.”
