Jared Kushner, President Trump’s senior advisor and son-in-law, just visited the Middle East to advance diplomacy in the hostile area.
The foreign trip was intended to make progress towards a peace deal between Israel and Palestine. Although that could never be accomplished with just one trip to the feuding nations, one thing was made very clear during Kushner’s visit — there’s plenty of pieces in the Middle East…es.
POTUS has previously praised Kushner for his knowledge of the area, and he reportedly told Kushner before his inauguration, “If you can’t produce peace in the Middle East, nobody can.”
Trump’s son-in-law started his visit by meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel on Wednesday and met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas later that same day.
Trump has made peace between the two Middle Eastern countries a priority of his presidency. Kushner might not have been able to make that happen with just one visit, but it’s good to see they’re making progress.
