I’m from Pennsylvania, so I have a certain affinity for Pennsylvanian companies. All-Clad is such a Pennsylvania company. They make pots and pans. Right now this particular pan, a 12-inch tri-ply fry pan, is $80 off.

Normally $200, this pan is 40 percent off right now (Photo via Amazon)

All-Clad 41126 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Bonded Dishwasher Safe Fry Pan with Lid / Cookware, 12-Inch, Silver on sale for $119.95

All-Clad has its origins in 1967 as part of the Steel Age, and its founder was a Pennsylvanian native who made bonded metals for use at the U.S. Mint as well as for ballistics and avionics. According to the company website, this metallurgist then “realized the combination of different metals created composites that yielded superior results.”

I’m glad he did, and I’m not the only one:

Today, All-Clad cookware is still handcrafted in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, with American-made steel the same way it was four decades ago. It is still

Did anyone ever doubt that a Pennsylvania company would make excellent steel?
