CNN screws up — again – CNN upheld President Trump’s claim that the news channel is ‘fake news’ when White House correspondent Jim Acosta erroneously called Trump out for what he thought was false info.

When the President spoke in Poland on Thursday, he stated that “three or four” intelligence agencies believed Russia meddled in the 2016 presidential election. Acosta called Trump’s statement ‘fake news,’ asserting that the President made that number up and does not actually know how many agencies drew that conclusion.

But Trump was right. Out of the 17 intelligence agencies, only the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the CIA, the FBI, and the National Security Agency made allegations of Russia collusion, the Washington Examiner reported. Watch the press conference here.

A flurry of rumors – Our generation has witnessed a shifting political landscape that has become increasingly hostile than ever. Now the nation is feeling the brunt of this shift over a surge of rumors in the political realm.

The latest political uproar: a GIF of President Trump’s WWE appearance. CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski tracked down the owner of the GIF, “HanA**holeSolo.” CNN did not disclose the user’s name, but said it reserved the right to reveal it if it becomes necessary. Donald Trump Jr. labeled CNN’s statement as “blackmail” in a tweet that read:

“So I guess they weren’t effective threatening the admin so they go after & bully a 15 y/o? Seems in line with their ‘standards.’ #CNNBlackmail.”

Kaczynski called Trump Jr. out for incorrectly identifying the Reddit user’s age, but that wasn’t the last of it. BuzzFeed chimed in with its own theory that Kaczynski may have identified the wrong guy. In a comparison of “HanA**holeSolo’s” GIF and the video Trump tweeted, BuzzFeed pointed out several incongruences.

At this point I’m starting to wonder how many theories are going to surface before we learn the truth. This rumors can be attributed to chaos. “It’s revenge politics, not idea politics” Red State called it. “It is the politics of anger.”

Rumors emerged that Gibb was competing for the job with James Landale, the diplomatic editor at the BBC. Landale clarified that he was asked if he would consider the job, but he decided not to apply, BBC reported.
