Sports Illustrated dropped a crazy video late Monday, and it looks like the magazine is ready to get into the virtual reality trend.

The video, which is titled “Join Hannah Jeter On Set Of Her Revealing Mexico Shoot,” features New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter’s wife on set, but it’s far from par for the course.

Instead of the viewer being able to see what they usually see in these videos, attractive women in swimsuits, they’re instead able to scroll 360 degrees around the set.

“Join Hannah Jeter in 360° behind the scenes of her revealing Mexico photoshoot with this exclusive SI Swimsuit virtual reality,” SI captioned the video.

WATCH:

Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue has had plenty of great ideas. However, this is not one of them. In fact, this is one of the dumbest ideas I’ve ever seen.

Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody, has ever watched a Sports Illustrated video in hopes that he can get a great look at the cameraman and the people holding the booms.

I was so excited when I clicked into this video, and I have perhaps never felt more disappointment. Nice try, SI, but try harder next time.
