Caitlyn Jenner said President Donald Trump is “shaking a lot of things up,” and asked the ladies of “The View” Thursday to “give the guy some time.”

“Politics is a dirty business, let’s be honest,” the 67-year-old Olympic gold medalist said in response to a smattering of questions about a Trump campaign meeting with a Russian lawyer. (RELATED: Caitlyn Jenner Jokes After Alexandria Shooting: ‘Liberals Can’t Even Shoot Straight’)

“We have to get someone in there who can straighten things out,” she added. “He’s shaking a lot of things up since he’s been in there, and I think from that standpoint that’s good. Let’s give the guy some time. What’s it been — six months?”

“Let’s give the guy some time,” she continued. “You know, in three-and-a-half years from now we get to decide again. And if it didn’t work out, let’s get him out and get someone else in. If not, if by that time he’s lowered taxes, helped the economy, he’s created jobs, he’s done all these things that are good for the country, then you can re-elect him.”

Earlier in the show, Jenner admitted that while she hasn’t yet talked to Trump personally about LGBT issues, she has spoken to people in his administration.

Co-host Jedediah Bila asked if she’d had a chance to sit down with the president.

“Yes, but I can’t talk about it,” Jenner answered.

“Just like this afternoon, I’m at the U.N.,” Jenner said. “Nikki Haley, I have a meeting with her about LGBT issues worldwide.”
