After Aaron Carter was arrested for driving under the influence the pop singer claimed his car was out of alignment, but according to the police report he wasn’t sober and failed several field sobriety tests.
After Carter’s arrest in northeast Georgia over the weekend, the pop singer claimed police had no cause to arrest him and tweeted that they targeted him because he was a celebrity. But according to a police report obtained by TMZ, Carter was “driving all over the road and running into the median.”

Carter’s representative backed the singer’s claim that “the car was swerving because it was out of alignment not because he was drunk.” However, judging from Carter’s physical state at the time of arrest, it’s doubtful that that was the case.
During his arrest deputies noted that Carter’s eyes were “blood shot and watery with a glazed look to them.” While the police tried to conduct a field sobriety test, cops said that Carter was talking to himself, swaying, had trouble tracking movement with his eyes and even lost his balance, TMZ reports. Carter refused to provide blood or urine samples but failed field sobriety tests.

Carter’s girlfriend, Madison Ann Parker, was riding in the car with him at the time of his arrest. When police found a small amount of marijuana during their search of the car, they each claimed that the marijuana belonged to the other, according to Page Six.
The 29-year-old pop singer was released on bail on Sunday. He’s accused of DUI, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
