The first trailer for the upcoming film “The Snowman” was recently released, and it’s absolutely terrifying.
The plot of the film, according to the YouTube description, is, “Detective Harry Hole investigates the disappearance of a woman whose pink scarf is found wrapped around an ominous-looking snowman.”
The highly-anticipated film is based on a book of the same name.
Don’t watch the trailer before heading to bed because the Michael Fassbender film looks absolutely horrifying. Fassbender, who plays the lead role of Detective Hole, hunts the sadistic and twisted killer as plenty of violence falls on him and his team.
“And the head is missing,” Fassbender says in an ominous voice-over early in the trailer.

There haven’t been a ton of great crime thrillers in the past few years, but that trend might be nearing an end thanks to this movie. It looks like it will have a perfect mix of mystery, suspense, intrigue, darkness and violence.
It is scheduled to be released Oct. 20.
