Conor McGregor began to taunt Floyd Mayweather for his violent past with women over the weekend.

McGregor was spotted wearing CJ Watson’s jersey from the Golden State Warriors, and the photo went viral after Warriors player Draymond Green, who is also number 23, believed McGregor was wearing his jersey.

On the surface it didn’t appear to be the important, and it had nothing do to with Green. There is a much larger story behind Watson and Mayweather.

We rocking with Floyd bro not you… take that off bruh @thenotoriousmma

Mayweather infamously and brutally abused the mother of his children Josie Harris because she had allegedly had sexual relations with Watson, according to The Sun. The legendary boxer was sentenced to three months in jail due to his violent actions against a woman.

Fans of this fight have been waiting for McGregor to finally drop the bomb that Mayweather is a woman beater, and it looks like we’re all about to finally cross that bridge. It starts with the jersey of the man who slept with the mother of his children, and soon it’ll probably get verbal. I was wondering if we were ever going to get to this point, and I’m so happy that we have. Mayweather’s past shouldn’t be ignored, and the more McGregor brings it up the more electric the fight will be.

August 26 can’t come soon enough.
