Asian technology giant FoxConn will invest around $10 billion in Wisconsin to build a manufacturing facility that could create up to 13,000 jobs, President Donald Trump announced Wednesday.

The facility will create LCD screens for computers and televisions, according to an administration official. President Trump said at a White House ceremony about FoxConn’s investment that the company’s chairman Terry Gou “has been watching” the Trump administration roll back regulations.

Trump said the investment will create 3,000 jobs at a minimum “with the potential for up to 13,000 in very near future.” The president stated the the construction “represents the return of electronic manufacturing to the United States.”

FoxConn is primarily known for manufacturing products for Apple and employs 1.2 million people, mainly in factories in China.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said that the 13,000 jobs that the investment could create will have an average salary of $53,000 a year, and that 22,000 indirect jobs could likely be created due to the manufacturing facility.

Walker added that the facility will have multiple buildings that will total 20 million square feet, which is three times the size of the Pentagon. Vice President Mike Pence said the investment means “America is back.”
