A woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly breaking into her ex-husband’s house and smashing 54 violins and 70 bows worth $950,000, according to local police.

The 34-year-old woman, Midori Kawamiya from Tokyo, Japan, destroyed violins that were said to have been made or collected by her 62-year-old Norwegian ex-husband in Nagoya, Japan, according to Kyodo News.

“She is suspected of entering the home by breaking a window sometime between January 30 and February 19 in 2014,” a police officer told AFP. Her ex-husband was away on on a business trip during the time of the break-in. Kawamiya managed to repeatedly travel back and forth to China after the incident and was arrested following her latest return to Tokyo.

She admitted to breaking into her ex-husband’s house but denied damaging equipment, according to the police report.

During the time of the incident, the couple was in the middle of their divorce. The divorce was finalized in 2016.
