The top review proves that it is just as good for beginners as for experienced users:

What a cool, fun and powerful drone. My husband and I have talked about buying a drone for a few years now and, after researching several, decided to purchase the DBPower Predator. So far, we are very happy with our choice.

This product comes with everything we needed to get started except 4 AA batteries that are required for the remote. There is even an extra battery and extra blades. Included in this package are: the drone, blade guards, remote control, extra blades and all the tools required to get started.

It’s a large drone – 19.1 inches by 19.1 inches. It is a lot of fun to fly. We are beginners so we decided to go to a local park that was wide open so that if we had problems flying the drone or keeping it in the air we would be able to find it. Fortunately, we didn’t have that problem but I’m glad we flew it in an open area and could watch it.

We also installed the blade protectors, although they aren’t required. They went on easily and have a good fit.

As beginners, we found this very easy to operate. Our maiden flight was on a very hot day with almost no wind so we didn’t have to worry about the wind carrying it away. After installing the blade guards and batteries, we paired the drone with the remote. To operate follow the instructions. There are text and picture instructions in the user manual and is easy to follow. It doesn’t fly for a long time – only about 6 minutes per battery. There are two batteries included so we were able to get about 15 minutes of total fly time.

We’re really enjoying this new toy and can’t wait to play with it more often.

Another notes that it does take some time to get a hang of, after which, “OMG! This drone is so much fun!

My husband was beyond excited to open this Predator drone. He’s been talking about a drone for awhile now.
The Predator done is extremely light weight and the assembly was very easy and straight forward. The Predator drone comes with the drone, 2 drone batteries, extra blades, blade protectors, usb plug in w/ micro sim card, a tiny screw driver (for securing the blade protectors), the HD camera/camcorder, remote control w/ a shade panel for phone and instructions. The remote requires 4 X AA batteries, which are not included. You will need to charge each drone battery for 150 minutes according to directions and it did take the full 150 minutes before the light turned green, indicating a full charge. You get about 10 minutes of flying time from each fully charged battery, when the battery gets low the control with signal you so you know to begin bringing it home. The application for the Predator drone is very easy to install on your phone. You can either use the scanner barcode in the directions or look it up on your app store, UDIRC FPV.

It takes a little while to get the hang of flying the drone. So don’t get discouraged. Our first day taking the Predator out, we were so excited. We took the drone to the end of our street where there’s a few empty lots. This being our first drone, we weren’t for sure what to expect. We got the drone off the ground, high in the sky but had a hard time guiding it. Which was no fault of the drone, it was the operator’s. It crashed hard in an unknown neighbors fenced backyard. After getting the drone back, we decided it was best for us “newbies” to go to a HUGE open field. Now we use it over grassy areas so when it crashed, it will have something soft to cushion the fall. We’ve crashed this into the ground several times and it has stood up over time.

It does take practice to get the hang of it, so I would suggest practicing in an open field with hardly any trees or houses. When you get the hang of it, it is extremely fun.

There are over 200 customer reviews, which I would definitely check out. At the end of the day, you right now have the limited opportunity to save $140 on a great drone. This is a deal you’ll want to take advantage of.
