POLL: Can What Happened To Charlie Gard Happen Here?

Little Charlie Gard died earlier today. A British judge even denied his parents’ request to take him home so he could spend his last few hours among his loved ones. It seems unimaginably cruel to take away his parents’ freedom to fight for his life and then keep him hostage until the matter settled itself, but that’s life under socialized medicine. Could that ever happen in America?
